Favourite things at Mel's Montreal Delicatessen

I went here twice with my friend. Some people don't like it. The same friend considers it equivalent to the cafeteria at our residence. But it's so much more than that. :) They serve nice big hearty breakfasts. The poutine is huge... enormous even and a bit too salty. Maybe you can ask for less salt, risking offending the patron but it's so cheap! Kitschy-cosy vibe.

You've never seen so much good food as the big baby breakfast. Where else are you going to get smoked meat with your eggs?

The cure to a hangover, contrary to popular belief, is not to drink water and get rest. It's poutine. Mel's poutine.

they have a killer Eggs Benedict with lox....yummy!

24 hours/7 days a week - the greasiest food in town. Watch out for the crowds between 2 and 4 am - the place is jammed. But it's worth the wait!

Nothing tastes better then Poutine from Mel's at three in the morning.
