Gladstone Hotel

I don't sing but it is a great place to see some pretty good local talents work their vocal chords. A fine time for all... and, if you can work up enough guts, you could even have the mic - with the whole bar as your backup vocals!

Probably the last thing place I expected to see something like this. Actually it was not something I expected to see at all. But it has left a lasting impression in my mind. Weird, wild stuff.

Great atmosphere, always fun and never intimidating. If you're quick, you'll catch my classic rendition of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".

The hollondaise sauce is the perfect consistency and they come with the most amazing salad full of fresh herbs...

It’s one of the city’s most unique event spots and it has a history. Check out the old elevator in the lobby. Events at The Gladstone just always seem to rock!

They serve it hot and very strong so it's quite the pick me up. The ballroom cafe has a great atmosphere, suitable for quiet chats.

its a nice lounge bar with a great crowd. You better get there early to request a spot on stage. The host is a real pro and even has an 'applause' sign he puts up when someone deserves it. Last night's fav was "Welcome to the Jungle" by a serious Guns and Roses fan with great air guitar skills. The dude spun around on the ground of the stage. Classic.

the karaoke bar is always a blast in small groups or large... casual, unpretentious, great crowd, good energy... also really good for a birthday party... just don't go too late (especially if you want to sing)... it gets damn busy

from the honkey tonk karaoke guy to the well-curated calendar of events, to the amazingly creative artist-designed rooms, to the whole philosophy behind revitalizing this hotel mindfully and collaboratively, I think the Gladstone is pretty great.

it is a hilarious time with an eclectic group of regulars. Sing your heart out to your favourite tunes!
